Colour Challenge – Hybrid Frame (a mix of MDS and conventional elements)
Wow! Time flies when you are having fun. Last night I realised if I am going to participate in this challenge I had better get a craftin’ so that is what I did, I got home from work and decided to create a frame. I did want to do it using MDS but alas it wasn’t quite that simple. The top part of the wall is Daffodil delight, the bottom half is Island Indigo and put through the dots embossing folder. The whole wall was layered with a sheet of the transparent quatrefancy window sheet, it just toned it down a little. I made the table and chair from whisper white cardstock embossed with the wood-grain embossing folder. and sponged in red. The drawers were made from the modern label punch. I created the roses in the top right corner from the scallop punch and cut it into a spiral shape. Then I cut the dress form from real red and designed the yellow dress was created in MDS in daffodil delight with reduced opacity and has been faux embossed also using MDS and the fancy fan svg stamp. The light shade was made from an upturned cupcake using the punch., with the bulb from a small circle punch. Hope you like it and that it has inspired you to use these bright colours together red and yellow were way outside my combination comfort zone.
