Pooh Bear to the Rescue – Around the World Challenge #29

Pooh-Bear

Pooh Bear kept springing  to mind while  I contemplated this colour challenge of Real Red, Hello Honey and Crumb Cake. Check others interpretations here and join in the challenge. It is a fun way of challenging your personal MOJO! I had plenty of ideas but nothing that hit the spot. Add black and it could be our local footy colours, but for a few days Pooh Bear was taking over my thoughts. Early this morning I decided that’s it Pooh Bear it is. He is made from Stampin’ Up! Owl Builder Punch, Word Window, and Bird Builder Punches. His Body is made from Hello Honey cardstock sponged along with Real Red also sponged. His legs are made from half a word window punch sponged and his ears from the circles in the Owl Builder Punch. His little legs are made from the wings of the Bird Builder Punch. That is the Real Red and Hello Honey taken care of now where to add the Crumb Cake … a little more thought and I decided on a Real Red Base with a mat embossed with Hexagon  embossing folder and adhered to the card front. How can you not associate Honey and Bees with this adorable little bear. I love bee stamps and so had to get out my retired stamp set ‘Postage Collection’ and stamped 3 bees inside the hexagons to make you feel it is like a honeycomb. To finish off I stamped friend from the same Postage set and punched it out using the petite curly label punch. Sponged in Real Red. My favourite saying from Winnie The Pooh by AA Milne is “You can’t stay in your corner of the Forest waiting for others to come to you. You have to go to them sometimes.”   Winnie the Pooh lived in  a beautiful 100 Acre enchanted forest. I hope when you cast your eyes on this card it will take you back to when you grew up with Winnie the Pooh and his forest friends.   I think I might just work on a card with Eeyore, Tigger and Piglet, create some envelopes to match and I will then have a cute set of 4 x 4 cards.
