Colour Challenge: My Digital Studio

I am really enjoying the Around the World Stampin’ Up! challenges – this one is anything you want to make using gorgeous soft colours – Pink Pirouette, Soft Sky , Very Vanilla and Raspberry Ripple.. As there are not many entries that are created digitally and I really love MDS – I decided to create my challenge using My Digital Studio.

! AWC - 140215

I was away in a little place by the beach called Opotiki, the company was fabulous, the weather mmmm acceptable, the beach divine, BUT!!!!!!!!!!!!! there was very limited internet access, and even to get mobile phone coverage I almost needed to head out to sea…. it showed me that I was absolutely addicted to the technological family… and suffered slightly from withdrawal symptoms. I almost hugged my internet router when I got home. All was not lost because I had my laptop and electricity and the most important thing in my crafting world “My Digital Studio” ready to use and create to my hearts content. Unlike other software which you create online ..in the cloud.. needing the internet: MDS is stored right here on our own personal computers giving us access to bring out our creative devil at any given moment . My card was made using the stamp brush set called Creative Elements, and the butterfly punch. The pink panel was a fluke – I reduced the flower and wanted to create a watermark effect using Raspberry Ripple. I reduced the opacity and decided to add a drop shadow – wow I liked that – needless to say I tried to do the same with the butterfly punch but couldn’t get the same effect but I did give it a drop shadow and am pleased how my card turned out. If you would like to know how to create this card using MDS I have a Digital class on Sunday the 16th February at 1:00pm. Email me if you would like to attend. I have classes once a month.
