Well a lot of things have been happening over the past couple of months.
I have attended a couple of funerals and a beautiful wedding at Lake Okataina which is back and beyond Rotorua I have to admit after also attending a wedding in Rarotonga a couple of years ago I have decided our own beautiful country has a lot going for it and at quarter of the price . The scenery and the sand at the lake was gorgeous , so too was the bride and groom.
Have you heard the saying ‘feel the love’ well this wedding was all that and more strangers didn’t feel like strangers and the vows and speeches were so moving… in particular the brides opening vow went something like this …”god must have been in a playful mood when he created you …” it was gorgeous. And the groom was just as moving with his vows.
I created the frame for the beautiful couple and my friend and I sneaked out during desert to print a photo to put in it (yep an actual moment in time photo.) and would you believe it, I never got a photo of the frame completed.
The idea for the photo frame was shared by Irene (sis) well not really sisters but many people ask us if we are… Anyway after a couple of lessons on how to make the flowers Big shot Spiral flower originals die I was on a roll literally… I got so carried away and made a whole heap more using DSP. Patience is a virtue when making these but once you have the knack you can join the flower making Divas and become addicted.
But wait there is more … The wedding cake was beautiful and was created by Katrina my best friend and Stampin Up demonstrator. The bride and groom were just gobsmacked as they didn’t know anything about what it was going to be like until we delivered it the night before the wedding. Talk about keeping an eye on the baby… it was nerve racking driving to the lake lodge because not only was the road winding but thee was a big tree across the road, thank heaven for small cars we managed to get round it… Below is a picture of the cake and the gorgeous couple ….
